Rick Goche Speaks Rick Goche, Candidate for State Representative in District 1 spoke at the monthly meeting of Curry Democrats on February 27 in Gold Beach. The meeting was held in thet "Blue Room" at the courthouse annex in Gold Beach and begins at 6:30 PM. Rick is an Oregon Native, currently living in Coquille. He is a commercial fisherman, having been involved in the seafood industry for more than forty years. He and his family operate a small tree farm in addition to fishing. He believes that the coastal communities of Oregon face momentous decisions which will affect generations to come. Marine Reserves, renewable energy, water use and allocations, are just a few of the issues that will shape fishing, farming, logging and recreational economies. Rick states that, " Our Rural Oregon lifestyles are dependant on thoughtful and conservative access to natural resources. This is the common dependence that unites us. Protecting and conserving our lifestyles to assure healthy coastal economies and natural resources, and access to those natural resources in perpetuity, is what compels me to represent you in Salem." |
