Why aren't you here NOW At this site you can find precinct and CCDCC contacts, view meeting agendas, and otherwise get started with DPCC functions. We provide access to local issues and positions; local candidates, read national, regional and local newspapers, national, regional, and local blogs including HotCurry. We also provide toursit and business information where you can find places to shop, eat, visit, overnight, explore, or discover Curry County. Curry County is the southermost county and the center of Oregon's Wild Rivers Coast. Most of the population of approximately 23,000 people lives within sight of the Pacific Ocean. Traditional industries in the region are forest products, fishing, and ranching. The names of our communities- from North to South- are : Langlois, Port Orford, Ophir, Nesika Beach, Gold Beach, Agness, Brookings, Harbor.
As more people discover the mild climate and the exquisite natural beauty of our mountains and coastline, we're becoming featured travel, sporting, and vacation destinations and our communities are becoming retirement destinations. Political affiliation is approximately 35% Democrat, 44% Republican, and 21% Independent.
